Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Being on Macy’s Inflation Team is no walk in the park. Hundreds of sandbags needed to be placed, tens of tarps needed to be spread out, helium hoses needed to be unraveled, and of course, balloons needed to be inflated. After a long 7am to midnight day of inflation, Macy’s Inflation Team became Macy’s Vehicle Team. As one of Vehicle Team members, Greg Klesaris woke up at 4am to “top-off” the balloons. After “top-off”, the heavy duty toro vehicles were anchored to the balloon’s “superpatch” to secure the balloon in flight. Once the parade began, Greg as Assistant Anchor Vehicle Manager made sure the “Hello Kitty” balloon was kept perfectly in line with the anchor vehicle.
